The Aerofit AF-4952 Wide Chest Press is a Defender Series plate-loaded chest press machine built for commercial gyms. It drives a wide-grip chest press that emphasises the outer and mid chest. Loading standard weight plates on a heavy-duty frame, it delivers smooth, hard-wearing strength training for commercial gyms building chest width.
A wide pressing path builds the outer chest that standard presses under-work. The AF-4952 adds width to your chest line-up.
The Aerofit AF-4952 Wide Chest Press is a plate-loaded commercial strength machine in the Aerofit Defender Series. It drives a wide-grip chest press that emphasises the outer and mid chest. The wide press path emphasises the outer and mid chest through a strong stretch and contraction. The Defender Series is Aerofit’s rugged plate-loaded line, built for hard commercial use. Each machine loads standard Olympic weight plates, so there is no weight stack to service and progression is unlimited.
Plate-Loaded Design
Loads standard Olympic weight plates instead of a weight stack. There is no stack to service, progression is unlimited, and the loaded feel is popular with serious lifters.
Heavy-Duty Commercial Frame
A thick, welded steel frame engineered for continuous multi-user traffic in a busy commercial gym, staying rigid and stable under heavy loads.
Wide Press Path
A wide-grip pressing path emphasises the outer and mid chest, building fullness and width alongside a standard chest press.
Guided, Safe Movement
A controlled path lets members press heavy safely, building the chest without a spotter.
Commercial-Grade Upholstery
Durable, sweat-resistant padding on a firm base gives comfortable support and holds up to constant daily use without cracking or flattening.
Low-Maintenance Build
With no weight stack, cables or complex mechanisms to wear, the machine needs very little servicing and stays reliable over years of hard commercial use.

Question: What does plate-loaded mean?
Answer: Plate-loaded means the machine is loaded with standard Olympic weight plates rather than using a built-in weight stack. There is no stack to service, resistance is unlimited by simply adding plates, and many lifters prefer the loaded feel. You supply the plates, or confirm what is included on the live product page.
Question: Is the AF-4952 Wide Chest Press suitable for a commercial gym?
Answer: Yes. As part of the Aerofit Defender Series, the AF-4952 Wide Chest Press is built on a heavy-duty commercial frame for continuous multi-user traffic. It is designed for commercial gyms, hotels, clubs and serious training facilities rather than light home use.
Question: Why stock both a standard and a wide chest press?
Answer: A wide chest press emphasises the outer and mid chest, while a standard press focuses on overall pushing strength. Stocking both, such as the AF-4951 and AF-4952, lets members train the chest from different angles for fuller development. Confirm exact specs from the live pages.
Question: Are weight plates included?
Answer: Plate-loaded machines are usually priced without plates, but this can vary. Confirm exactly what is included from the live product page or by calling Metro Sports. We can supply Olympic plates to go with the machine if needed.
Question: How much space does it need?
Answer: Confirm the exact footprint from the live product page. Plate-loaded machines vary in size, so measure the area and allow clearance for safe loading, unloading and use before installation.
Question: What warranty applies?
Answer: Full Aerofit manufacturer warranty applies, often with extended commercial coverage on the frame. Confirm exact terms from the live product page or by calling Metro Sports. We handle delivery, professional installation and direct after-sales service across North India.
